Hi everyone Dale here and with today’s article I wanted to answer a few questions I have been getting lately from people asking me about how is the best way to take CBD oil and also I wanted to share with all of you some alternative ways you can use CBD.
CBD Oils are relatively new for a lot of people, so hopefully, by the time you finish reading this article, you will have a clear understanding of not only how to take it but of other ways you can also use it for many different health issues you may have.
How Is The Best Way To Take CBD Oil
For those of you who are new to the health benefits and have just been introduced to CBD the best way to take it is under your tongue. Depending on what strength you are using place 10 to 20 drops under your tongue and let it set for 15 to 30 seconds before swallowing.
It is recommended to take it at least twice a day. You can do the first dose when you wake up and the second dose before you go to bed for a good nights sleep.
CBD oil comes in several strengths and usually in two different forms. You can purchase it either as a Full Spectrum (Broad Spectrum) or as an Isolate.
- Full Spectrum
Full spectrum has all the cannabinoids including a tiny amount of THC. But you are not going to get high by taking it because it contains less than .03% to comply with the legal laws.
Isolate has several of the cannabinoids without the THC. So depending on what health issue you are using it for might determine which strength and which type you want to use.
- Something to keep in mind!
There are no guarantees that you will pass a drug test using either one depending on how extensive the drug analysis is so you might want to inform your employer that you are taking CBD oils for health reasons.
Other Ways You Can Use CBD Oil
I’m not sure how many people know this, but if you have a headache, you can rub the CBD oil on your temples to help alleviate the pain or anywhere else you might have some discomfort.
Another thing I recently discovered is putting it directly on Shingles, and if you have ever had them, then you know how painful they can be. So CBD oil can be applied topically, and it will absorb through your skin.
One more thing I discovered is you can apply CBD oils to areas like your wrists and ankles where the skin is much thinner instead of directly on the pain center, and you can still get results.
Can You Vape CBD Oil
I’ve had a lot of people ask me about vaping CBD oil so I will explain the reason why you shouldn’t try vaping CBD oil. The CBD oil is much thicker than vape juice. Therefore, it is not recommended trying and vape it.
There is a CBD vape juice available for people who would like that as an option, and it might be called CBD vape oil instead of E-juice, but it is much thinner.
CBD Pain Creams With Emu Oil
If you are a person who doesn’t like taking CBD oil or vaping, then there are a few more options such as sprays, gummies, and creams.
CBD and Emu oils both have anti-inflammatory properties which make the pain cream a good option if you have joint pain and stiffness and would rather not take the CBD oil orally.
I personally like the pain cream, and it only takes just a little to get good results.
Is CBD Safe To Take With Other Medications
Even though there are no known adverse side-effects testing is still in the early stages so it would be advisable to monitor yourself closely while taking other medications.
If you have diabetes be sure and keep a check on your blood sugar because CBD is reported to help support healthy blood sugar levels and if it starts to lower your sugar you would need to get your doctor to reduce your medications.
High blood pressure is another thing you would want to keep a close watch on because I have a customer who says it lowered her blood pressure and she had to play with the doses to figure out what worked best for her.
Usually reducing your blood pressure would be a good thing if it was high but hers was already low, to begin with. My customer started taking the CBD oils for Fibromyalgia pain.
Not All CBD Oils Are Created Equally
- Buyers Beware!
CBD is a huge and growing by day market, and it is only going to continue to get bigger. If you are one of the thousands who are already buying CBD Oils for health reasons or for your pets you need to watch this video!
All of the products on my site are third party lab tested and what is on the label is exactly what is in the product. So just be careful when purchasing CBD, and for the many of you who have tried it and discovered it wasn’t helping you it was probably an inferior product.
CBD Dosage Recommendations
I think the average recommended dose is 20 drops under your tongue twice a day depending on the strength. I would recommend only starting with 5 to 10 drops to see how your body is going to react to taking the CBD Oil.
Some people may need less and others more but if you start with a lower than recommended dose you can always increase later if need be if there are no adverse effects.
I usually recommend to people to try out the 500mg Isolate first without the THC, and most people respond well to it, but then I have had other customers who needed the full spectrum at 1500mg. To get the results they were looking to achieve.
In closing, I want to mention I am not a medical doctor nor do I have any medical training. I am an EFT practitioner who happens to know a lot about health issues and natural alternatives.
So this post is not for medical advice; it is based on my personal experiences and with my clients. As always if you have any questions or comments, please leave them below, and I will answer them promptly.
